History

The first teacher of this school is Mr. Jinarathana. In the year 1943, Mr. Hewaratgama was the principal. At that time, four teachers were teaching in the college.

This was a very difficult school at that time and had a classroom with clay walls. Later, the school had about 100 students. Then in 1950, the number of school children increased to about 200. By 1980, Mr. Abeysuriya was the principal. Then around 1982, Mr. Chaturasingha worked as the principal. At that time, there were no facilities like a field and water in the school.

In 1960, Mr. Jayawardana was the principal of the school. Juliet was the best student there. As the school students were educated, farming and other works were also done. The first building that was built was made of bamboo and clay. At that time, the students studied hard.
